Jesse + Lauren - Wyndridge Farm York, PA
From time to time I have the honor of photographing old friends, this wedding was just that! Jesse, Lauren and I ran Cross Country together in College. Jesse and my younger brother are also good friends. However, I have not seen Jesse and Lauren in years so when I got an email from them asking to set up a consultation for their Wyndridge Farms wedding I was thrilled. The day was full of lots of laughter, joy, but also honoring and remembering Lauren's mother who sadly passed away a few months before the wedding day. My heart broke for her and her family but the way they honored her was so beautiful, my favorite was that Lauren and her sisters wore her mothers rings. I was so grateful to be part of their special day and was fun seeing so many familiar faces!
Lauren and Jesse took some time to answer a few questions for me about their wedding. If you are planning your wedding and would like a little advice from the bride and groom ...read on...
Why did you end up selecting Wyndridge Farms?
The outdoor chapel and rolling hills was the perfect setting for the rustic and nautural wedding we envisioned. After touring the barn and eating at Wyndridge's restaurant we were sold!
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Lauren: Getting ready with bridal party, walking down the aisle, first dances(Father and Husband), dancing with friends and family.
Jesse: The Beginning of the ceremony
Were you happy with the decision to do a first look?
YES, it removed a lot of the stress from getting ready for the wedding and allowed us time together before the busy day began. The first look also allowed us more time to enjoy our wedding reception and spend time with our family and friends.
Advice for future Brides/Couples:
- Set a wedding timeline (leave a buffer) Do not skip the wedding Rehearsal, enjoy the planning process
Tips for couples while hiring their wedding vendors?
Read reviews, asking vendors for their advice/expertise, and sharing our vision with each of our vendors allowed us to find the perfect wedding vendors.
Anything you would have done differently leading up to wedding day or the day of?
We would have not done DIY decor items. Looking back ti would have been worth the extra money to have someone else create these details (table numbers, place settings) rather than staying up late and stressing to make the perfect product for our wedding.
